Built by People Who Understand BEAD. Not by a Generic SaaS Company.
BEAD Ops was created by infrastructure and compliance professionals who have lived the operational complexity of federal broadband programs — because they saw that nothing else on the market could handle it.
Our mission
The BEAD program represents a $42.45 billion investment in America's broadband future — the largest in history. States are entering the hardest phase: managing dozens of subgrantees, hundreds of projects, and hundreds of thousands of locations under strict federal reporting requirements that evolve with every NTIA policy notice.
We built BEAD Ops because the tools available — spreadsheets, shared drives, generic grant platforms, project management software — were never designed for this level of operational complexity. The BEAD NOFO, the SAR v2.0 reporting form, the BABA compliance framework, the NEPA review process, the milestone-gated payment structure — these aren't features you can bolt onto a generic platform. They need to be the foundation.
Why the status quo fails under BEAD
Your office is accountable for BSL-level outcomes, CAI reporting, and attestation-backed submissions to NTIA — while coordinating subgrantees who each run their own contractors, vendors, and permitting threads. Generic software treats that as a footnote; BEAD Ops treats it as the schema.
SAR & NGP
Every reporting cycle must reconcile operational truth to NTIA's machine-readable expectations — not a one-off export.
BABA
Cost documentation and attestations need to survive audit — not live in disconnected folders.
NEPA & permits
Clearances and NTP readiness must tie to milestones and payment gates — not side conversations.
Scale to 2030
Program velocity increases as awards multiply; the platform has to absorb volume without re-platforming.
What drives us
Principles that shape every workflow, field, and release — not marketing slogans.
Domain Depth Over Feature Breadth
Every field in BEAD Ops maps to a federal reporting obligation. Every workflow reflects an actual compliance process. We don't build generic features and hope they fit.
Production Over Promises
BEAD Ops isn't a pitch deck. It's the system managing one of America's first active BEAD deployments — Louisiana's $1.2B+ GUMBO 2.0 program.
Compliance as Architecture
We don't treat compliance as an afterthought. BABA attestations, NEPA clearances, SAR generation — these are core system capabilities, not add-ons.
Built for the Long Haul
BEAD construction timelines run through 2030. We're building a platform that scales with the program, not one that needs replacing mid-deployment.
The market gap
Existing tools were built for different problems. Under BEAD, that gap shows up as audit risk, missed NTIA deadlines, and teams drowning in CSVs and email threads.

account_balance
Generic grant management
Submittable, Fluxx, Bonterra: strong for applications — weak on BSL hierarchies, BABA, SAR v2.0, NEPA evidence, and FRN/UEI-aligned operational data.

view_kanban
Project management
Asana, Monday, Smartsheet: fine for tasks — they cannot model BEAD's hierarchical location data, CAI outcomes, milestone-gated payments, or NGP validation rules.

Spreadsheets
The most common tool — and the most dangerous. Version chaos, formula errors, no role-based controls, and no lineage from field to SAR row.
| Capability | Generic grant / PM | Spreadsheets | BEAD Ops |
|---|---|---|---|
| BSL / location hierarchy & CAI tracking | Not native | Manual / fragile | First-class |
| SAR v2.0 CSV, NGP alignment, pre-submission checks | No | High error risk | Built-in |
| BABA documentation & attestations | Ad hoc | Uncontrolled | Structured workflows |
| NEPA / permitting status tied to NTP & milestones | Disconnected | Siloed files | Integrated |
| Audit trail from subgrantee entry to NTIA submission | Partial | Weak | End-to-end |
